10 beautiful scenes to explore shapes! Use our engaging flashcards at the table, on the floor, during mealtimes, and on the go to inspire your little one to engage in new learning concepts.
What can you do with the flashcards?
Simple play: Give your child the cards with a few items you have laying around the house, such as a popsicle stick for tracing, numbers for matching, lentils or rice to place along the number, blocks to make towers with the corresponding amounts, etc…
Sensory play: Getting your hands right into the learning material! Give your child a baking sheet with sand, rice or lentils and bury the cards underneath. Give her a paintbrush so that she can discover the shapes underneath while practising the pencil hold. Playdough is also a great way to memorise the shape, your child can ‘fill’ the shape with bits of playdough or roll the dough into a snake and lay it over the shape.
Memory: Place the cards upside down on the floor and take turns searching for shapes with your little one. When she is older, you can take turns searching for a specific shape. When she is still learning the shapes, you can simply take turns ‘revealing’ a new shape.
Learning through movement: Simply place them around the room and challenge your little one to ‘run to the square, ‘put a block on the triangle’ or ‘touch the heart with your nose!’. There are endless ways to play, and the best part is that children come up with their own ways to play with the cards.
This limited-edition set includes 10 beautifully illustrated cards that you can use to encourage your little one to get moving and begin defining simple concepts in her ever-expanding world. We have included a gorgeous brass ring to keep the cards bundled between playtimes.
